The lake level is holding steady
at 10.41 this morning. Not much
new to add to the report that doesn't
sound old, the fishing is as good
as it gets. Most of the fish are
in the rim canal, but some, as was
the fish on the front page of my
report, came from out in the lake.
I fished a tournament this past
weekend, and although we didn't
win, we were culling fish by 8:30
am. We just never could get the
big bite we needed, but ended up
with a respectable 15 pound bag.
The winning bag was 25 pounds. There
was a full moon the night before,
and a lot of the fish moved back
on the beds, and the winner found
them.
The weather is really great at
this time of the year, and the fishing
is hot. If you have a chance to
get away, this is a perfect time.
A lot of the pressure is gone, as
a lot of the folks that live up
north are gone, and its a quiet
lake. So if you are planning a fishing
trip, now would be a great time.
The bluegill fishing has slowed
a bit, but the next moon phase will
start them up heavy again.
Hope
to see you out fishing.
