Mid May 2011
The water is dropping. The level this morning is at 10.69 and still falling, the combination of wind, no rain, lots of sun, and water releases, is causing the levels to keep going down. The water temperature yesterday was at 82 degrees.
The fishing is still as fantastic as it has been all year. You just have to be very careful as to where you go, and how you get there. We were in an area that I have been fishing all year the other day, and honestly, if we made more than 2 casts without a fish, we were laughing "what's wrong"! It was incredible, and those fish were in only 18 inches of water.

The lake is at a point to where it is best to go with a guide, or someone that knows the lake, and where to go. You will stay out of trouble that way, and keep all the parts on your boat.
There are a lot of fish in the rim canal also, I have been fishing there on days when the wind prevents me from getting to the areas I like to fish. We have been doing well on worms, rattle traps & shallow diving crankbaits. There have been some nice size fish also.
The bluegill bite have been outstands, for those guys fishing for them, just look for the beds, and throw a beetle spin across it, and you should come back with one on.
